  • MEGA is the largest chain of international standard shopping and entertainment malls in Kazakhstan.

MEGA is an integral part of Kazakhstan’s present, and its future. MEGA malls are prominent landmarks and key attractions in all of the cities where they are located. The MEGA malls have been developed and built by the Astana Group holding – one of the key developers and leading investors in the Republic as well as a successful holding company managing subsidiaries across a wide range of activities.

    Key Facts

MEGA Shopping and Entertainment Centers are represented in four biggest cities of Kazakhstan: in Astana, the capital of the Republic, in Almaty, the financial centre, and also in Shymkent, the biggest city in the South and in Aktobe, the largest city of the Oil and Gas Region.

The project of the buildings was developed by the French company «Design Architectural», which specializes in design of Shopping and Entertainment Centers and has 30 years of international experience in this industry. Each MEGA Center is unique, as it doesn’t have any analogues neither among the other buildings in urban development, nor in the scale of the projects or in the architectural concept. The buildings are created in accordance with the world’s modern standards, and meet the highest functional and esthetic requirements of the residents of the modern megacities.

In January 2009, the value of the MEGA brand was estimated in 62,8 million dollars. This is the result of the research made by V-Ratio Business Consulting Company. In comparison with data as of January 1st 2008, the cost of the brand increased with 439% up.

In February 2009 MEGA entered the list of Top-50 domestic companies with the best reputation according to Exclusive magazine (14th place this time; and the 27th place in January 2008), and on 4st of July 2009 it received the «Perfect» award from Kazakhstan

    Consumers League.

On weekdays the average attendance in MEGA is 30 000 people, on weekends it is over 60 000. The attendance record is 108 000 people.
